I am a financier and merchant banker in global markets, including founding, financing, operations, acquisitions, and successful exits for a variety of companies.
Clients in high growth industrial and tech sectors have relied on my advice when contemplating mergers, acquisitions and accessing the capital markets. Entrepreneurs, families and private equity investors have been my primary clientele relying on my expertise in a wide range of mandates from selling businesses to multi-national public companies, to sourcing private equity buy-outs and balance sheet recapitalizations.
From 1994 to 2013, I served as a broker, partner, owner, and director across national and international firms, managing more than $250 million in portfolios and structuring, leading, and financing over 40 companies.
Since 2014 I have founded and helped build companies across healthcare, resources, mining, technology and AI — including Concordia Healthcare Corp. (Co-Founder, EVP), GR Silver Mining Ltd. (GRSL-TSX, Co-Founder, Director), and one of North America's largest Bitcoin mining companies (Co-Founder, CEO). Today I'm a Co-Founder of AI company NetraMark Holdings Inc.
I've served on numerous public company boards as director, CEO, and Chairman, and have personally raised over $1.4 billion CDN for companies within my portfolio.
Currently I run A2 Capital Management Inc., a private family office that funds and advises public and private companies, along with actively trading in the financial markets.
Outside of business, I've been a lifelong conservationist. My involvement in conservation projects began at 14 and, in later years, I've supported the cause through donations to conservation foundations. In addition, I've also served on the boards of the United Way and the Juvenile Arthritis Foundation. I'm also proud to be a Chieftain in the Clan of the Gallant Canadians, the regimental order of The Calgary Highlanders.
